Screenshot of the week: 10/26

hmm
that Battleship has 6 movement instead of 4! Looks like there is still the Fission bonus :goodjob:
but "only" 18 Attack? I thought it had 24

And I like those small icons indicating that the city has a harbour/airport :goodjob:

The sub is cool too :D

I like the way it is almost hidden below the water :goodjob:

Bah...that land full of railroads and mines looks uglier than in Civ 2...:(

That's why i never liked the modern age...in the real world we don't have every square of land with a railroad...guess only for Civ 4 can we see a more realistic display of railroad.

I see what I would say is an Aluminum resource (Soda Can) NE of the Battleship I do not see this listed in the CF InfoCenter. Am I wrong?? I see one in the south as well.

I hope to god that it is not the huge world map!!! I like my maps to be realistic and that frankly is crap!! Look at the size of greece and italy!!!! they are two little stumps!!!! that is really annoying b/c I only like the world maps but if it looks like that I might have to change my tastes

I don't know why you are complaining about railroads - if you don't like the look don't build them! It is also very realistic to have so many. Unrealistically, they'd be about 20 miles across, but for the scale of map then they represent some of the many many railroad lines you'd find on a world map. Maybe not in Canada or America, but all across Europe the train lines are much closer together.
Another thing: Why the heck have none of the civs decided to colonise Australia? I realise that to reflect the globe it will have some desert in the middle, but it must be worthwhile strategically.

Has anyone else noticed a complete lack of farmland in these screenshots we have? I really liked farmland, I'll be kinda bumbed if that isn't in the game anymore. It also makes me wonder about engineers??

Not sure if they're to farmland yet, if its even in there. They're research miniaturization right now (which before, gave the offshore platform).

I hope thats only the medium world map, though.

I was hoping for a huge huge world map :)

180x180

anyone wanna try and count the pixels, length and width, in the little map? ;)

Great! That world map is nice... Nobody's talking about it?? Anyway, it's very nice, but I think Italia's a bit small...

Yes that world map is nice. Some comment's though: Italy and greece look to be amputated. There is also not such an diversity of terrain there, north Afreica seem's to be more furtile that in real life.

I hope thats only the medium world map, though.

I think it is the medium map.there are almost as much tiles in europe on this map as there were on a the big CivII world map. There are around 20 city's in Europe ,rather close to eachother. The Super giant world map in CivIII will probably be much much bigger than this.

So why is the number of citizens in Tbilisi in RED while some of the other cities white? Something happening?

Odd that she's building UN and Manhattan at the same time...guess she waited before building Manhattan.

Probably is aluminium, it is needed together with oil for stealth bombers and fighters :soldier:

The number changes color depending on if a city is growing (white), stagnant (yellow), or losing (red) population.

Has this been verified by Fraxis? I have seen any info on this yet.
