Screenshots ? Maybe of Darius

I dont really see how hes trolling anymore than the previous post. This is the post he was reply to

"AFAIK, Persian/Aryan people looked very different than their contemporary counterparts, being that the present-day Iranian population has been infused with Turkic blood over the centuries."

This is a pretty sweeping generalization.

the way anaoshak responsed was a bit childish but the first part of his reply seems reasonable ->

"the post above is just an ignorant statement.
Iran has many different regions just like the United States holding many different minorites and races. "

What this means I dont know ->

"Europe if anything would have more turkish blood."

but I take it anaoshak doesnt like turkish people

LOL look everybody, a troll.

As a Scandinavian I am offended by your usage of the word "troll". Being a Scandinavian myself I demand that you respect my authority in regards to everything of Scandinavian origin such as the word "troll".;)

:joke:

The word Aryan it outdated , thats a fact. I use to throw that word around all the time.. in highschool.

Um.... ok so it's not in fashion for you.... that means the rest of the world has to stop using the term? Sorry, you are mistaken.

Sorry guy, but you don't know anything about my Iranian background. So don't know tell me how it is.

I made no comment whatsoever on your Iranian background.... all I said is that is possible that in Iranian anthropological circles the term "aryan" is no longer used, that cannot possibly be construed as making a comment about your personal upbringing..... you are either misreading by mistake or intentionally.... perhaps you are just looking to flame someone - you seem to have jumped down everyone's throat so far.

Also if an anthropologist uses the word for a linguistic, that doesnt mean he/she uses it racially.

That's because (and I will stress this again because I am not sure that you read my post) the term IS NOT RACIAL... it has nothing to do with ethnicity, it is regarding linguistic families. It's only Hitler/Nazi/German Nationalist philosophers who used the term to connotate a racial meaning. The term "aryan" is properly a synonym in the English language to encompass the Indo-Iranian linguistic family..... and that actually IS a fact! ;)

I agree with what you are saying Spearthrower, but i should tell you that Aryan is still used among iranians as a race in history that inhabited the Iranian Plateau of which modern Persians are descendants.

anaoshak does not know what he's talking about, since the word has a very big place in our history it will never be erased or forotten. We even have popular first names such as Aria or Arian. The word "Iran" actually means "land of the aryans" in old persian.

Thanks koolrosh, that makes a lot of sense and fits better with my understanding of it all.

That is again where the linguistic connection comes in with "Land of the Aryans".

Cheers

Thank you, I know that my comment was a bit trollish in itself, but considering some earlier content of this thread I'm not too ashamed about it.

:D

I used to think Suryavarman looked like an alien, but that award definitely goes to Darius.
