Yeah, it's BotF. Discovered it has some lovely mods nowadays which is why I reinstalled it again. Fun game

@Steviejay: I found this in my screenshot folder and I don't think I ever posted it 'cos you were on your year-long hiatus. If you recall what your post here was about, in which we would see who would beat the other in points in our first FM 2008 season. I must respond:

So yeah, I was utterly beaten, but at least in my game Rangers were themselves beaten by Hearts. Intentions of getting the next FM game? I might want a rematch

In my Norwich game I'm in the 5th season and Celtic are actually imploding for some reason. they're about 6th in March, but on the plus side they've got Shevchenko who's scoring for fun.

What mods are out there for BotF? Any excuse to get the old girl out again.

I wish I had BotF, I've heard a lot of good things about it. But then again I still havn't played Sword of the Stars when I bought it on sale, I still need to finish the Witcher, and numerous other games I have [or purchased] this year.

What mods are out there for BotF? Any excuse to get the old girl out again.

Ultimate Mod is really good, takes the Ferengi out and replaces them with the Dominion, adds a heap of ships and new minor races and generally makes the game more playable. I'm currently playing Ultimate Dominion Mod at the moment, which has the added attraction of making the actual graphics sharper. It seems to be a little less stable, though.

In both cases, it seems the ability to create massive fleets is made easier. The screenie above is just one of many such fleets - you can have some epic battles against an equal opponent.

Because he scored less points than monsieur Stevie? I gather that they were trying to score more points than eachother over a season. Stevie got 95, Kan got 82.

Yeah, we both bought our own copies of the game and played a season as our favourite teams (which IRL happen to be bitter rivals) and whoever managed to get the most points won. His results are linked in my post

I wish I had BotF, I've heard a lot of good things about it. But then again I still havn't played Sword of the Stars when I bought it on sale, I still need to finish the Witcher, and numerous other games I have [or purchased] this year.

You won't have any luck finding BotF in stores, you'll have to look online. Also, there's a special patch on the internet to fix crashes with OS's like XP and Vista.

But, the game is amazing fun, and the graphics are actually, quite enjoyable and nice to play with, especially for a game from that time

I'm playing as Poland and have been trying to get the french to get troops to India which is under heavy attack by the Japenese (the game ends in 1945), the French however were more focused on Italy and this ever growing (it's over 468 fleets now) stack of empty fleets is rediculous. (I have military control of France).
