If I'm not completely embarrasing myself, it's that part inside the Citadel where you have to barricade yourself in a large hall with only a couple of turrets as friends, and a lot of combine troopers trying to crash the party. Gets on my nerves.

I loved Ravenholm, though I've been mostly inoculated to such scary atmospheres by the original Alien vs Predator game. Shame really

Just to throw my hat into the ring with this one, I actually enjoyed Episode 2 alot more than a large chunk than what was in the original HL2 (Vanilla HL2?) No idea why, still got the horsehockey ending though. And where the hell did that ship come from? DId i miss it mentioned earlier or was it a case of 'hey a ship disappeared, now it's back.......what, you didn't know?

Most of Half-Life seems to involve things happening that everyone else knows all about, but you don't. No wonder ol' Gordon stays quiet, he has about as much idea as the player.

I'm in between, my two favourite levels are Nova Prospekt and Ravenholm.... however to be entirely fair those poison headcrabs give ravenholm a lower score since they scare the hell out of me

Throughout Ravenholm, I keep hearing those cries of the poison headcrabs... And when you look around, you don't see it. Next thing you know, it's in front of you throwing those things at you -_-'

Yeah I noticed the link to Portal and I've heard about experiements where 'apparently' they were able to make a ship disappear but still......... wouldn't it have been nice to have it mentioned at least SOMEWHERE along the line? Or maybe perhaps why exactly that woman is on it? just a thought.

sorry for the threadjack but nova prospekt is cool, especially when you got jimi hendrix playing "all along the watchtower" on your winamp while you are attacking that prison and chaos ensues on those guard towers by your army of loyal insect cannonfodder that rush themself to death getting that combine )

I found a similar one for Italy when I 'liberated' the country as the Soviet Union, creating the Socialist Republic of Italy (or something like that). Not only was it under the command of Mussolini, so was the remnants of the original Italian government, still existing in north Africa! Cheeky git.

Let the Germans reach my line, allow winter to set in, recruit even more infantry, cut through Latvia and swoop down into Poland, trapping the German army!

The Germans have about 25-30 at most in any one of those stacks, and last time I saw the numbers, most of them were quite small stacks, around 10 or less

And my northern stack of doom

My entire army totals 800 divisions.
