Hi everyone! I just purchased Civ4 Gold and as an owner of Civ3 Vanilla, I can only say... WHAT?!

What a change from the previous versions. I'm not sure if I love it or hate it. I'm looking forward to learning all the new stuff in the game. Once I get a handle on the game I'm really looking forward to playing with others (finally real people instead of just AIs).

I did not like civ4 at first comming from playing civ3. My first game of civ4 went well untill i tried to bombard a ship near my city with artillery, "what the?" "what the XXXX (expletive) happened to my bombard, XXXX (expletive) XXXX (expletive)"

In total disgust at the loss of bombard i immediately uninstalled the game, then chucked it in the reject game pile where it stayed for about a year.

So it took me a year to recover from that insult before i was able to get into the game again and it is a hell fun game!

As a civ3 player, the main thing You have to realise is the value and importance of collateral damage in civ4

Thats a great mod, Next time i feel like playing civ3, i can use it and play Modded civ4 instead!
