Scrubs: Where are they?

Hey guys

Just wondering where all the scrubs are? Do they start on the map at the beginning or are they formed from events?

I use the Planet Generator map script a lot. Could this be why I don't see scrubs?

They start out at the beginning, though I haven't seen them that often to be honest. They only show up in deserts, of course.

In deserts? Ahhh this makes sense. I've always been at the poles in my previous games. I had an army of bears and polar bears LOL. When I say an army I literally mean 15 of these guys by turn 300 (epic speed)

When a would-be floodplain (cottage) in your capital is a perm 0/1/0, life kinda sucks.

They kinda suck anyways - I mean they make the desert capable of providing one piece of measly toast and I believe that's aboot it . . .

What has annoyed me ever since scrubs made an appearance is that they usually appear on deserts next to rivers. This means that such a desert square will not be a flood plains as usual - but the starting location script still counts it as if it were a flood plains. I play mostly on arid maps, so it is not unusual to see AI capitals built in a desert on a river with 3-4 Desert Scrubs and no flood plains in the city radius.

I believe that someone recently pointed out to Kael how to stop this, so in the next versions they will not appear next to rivers anymore.
