I'm kinda "newbie" to Civfanatics (as a member), but for something like 15 years I've been downloading excellent mods, maps and such from here.
It all began from Civilization (DOS) in the 90's, my friend taught me how to play, and just like to a cigarette, I'm hooked!
When the Civilization II came, and there were different kind of maps, I made my own too.
But, enough of history.
Last week I saw a mod made for Civ III, someone had created a sea-tile!
I've been doing some maps for Civ V for some weeks now, and my maps are more or less maxed out, so someone already asked me at Steam, could you make a bridge from Europe to America (North Atlantic 180 x 80 map), but I really don't think it would be realistic enough to use coast as that bridge.
So, I'd really like there was a sea tile between coast and ocean, just to give a little more depth to the game.
