Secret Hitler (concluded)

I can confirm it. I was handed three Fascist policies. I can understand if don't believe me. I didnt even choose any policies, I just said "Damn."

Rakkoon, for reference, what was the hand you were given? I can confirm I had a lib and a fascist, and I picked a liberal. I want to do what I did last game, and start organizing a list of predictions in the deck, since there is not an even number of fascist and liberal policies if we're using the standard deck.

I have an idea of who I want to nominate, I'm currently leaning Takhisis because he's the most talkative player who hasn't been in an any government yet and I want to test to see what he'd do. But I'm willing to hear arguments on why I should do topsecret instead.

I actually got two liberals and one fascist.
I removed the liberal one to see what you would do.
You chose the liberal one so that makes you 80% legit in my book.

JohannaK and Double A are the most suspect at the moment. It is possible that I got two liberals and they three fascist but highly unlikely.

Topsecret and Takhisis are neutral at the moment. You can pick either one. In the end we just need to pass enough liberal laws to win

In that case, assuming everyone's telling the truth, this is how the deck looks right now.

Starting Composition: 6 Liberal, 11 Fascists.
Round One: Drew 2 Liberals, 1 Fascist. New Comp: 4 Lib, 10 Fascist
Round 2: Drew 3 Fascist. New Comp: 4 Lib, 7 Fascist

We currently have about 21% chance for three fascists to be drawn this turn. It's unlikely, but it is possible to get three in a row again this turn.

3 fascist cards usually happens at least once a game, right?

Yeah, it happens because the deck is highly stacked in favor of fascists. There's nearly twice as many fascists tiles in the policy deck as there are liberals.

Thus its always theoretically possible two liberals pass a fascist for no fault other than bad luck.

You can pick me or Tak. Either works for me. I know my alignment is liberal so it depends on what you want to do.

It seems that the president can lie easier than the chancellor. We have no idea what the policy is that is discarded, but the chancellor can't pass a fascist policy if handed a liberal one without implicating himself. So it is much harder to lie as chancellor. That's my take on this type of game so far. I dunno. Does anyone else have strategy tips?

Fair enough. I'm going to just go with my gut then and go with Takhisis as my formal nomination.

This is very true. It's generally easier for presidents to get away with electoral shenanigans than chancellors. Although that is not to say the president, if (s)he has an agenda, can simply pass the person two fascists and then falsely claim they gave them a choice. There's nothing the chancellor can do to prove that the president was lying in that case. Given that liberals have no reason to lie about something like that, a dispute definitely implicates someone in that government as a fascist.

Unfortunately, six player Secret Hitler doesn't have a scan per the official rules, so there's no way to actually verify whom in such a dispute is the actual fascist.

Host note: the standard composition of 6 liberal to 11 fascist cards or "tiles" was indeed used.

Good to know
