I'm not sure if this is a bug. It has happened in several other games I have played. I play Civ 4 BTS and I have the latest patch (from Solver? I'm not sure)...
So in this game, I was Secretary General of the UN for two cycles and then when a new vote came around no one received enough votes to become SG. Now the game has gone through a million rounds and no new vote for SG has come up yet. This is just like in previous games, though in previous games I did not receive enough votes during the first round of voting (and then there were no more rounds of voting). Has this happened to anyone else and is there is a solution/workaround? Is there a way to make myself the SG with worldbuilder or a code to force elections...? Please help.

as I posted twice: you are using an old patch - so yes there is a new solution - the new official patch
