Seeing Invisibility?

My catapults and mages are being mauled by shadows, and I can't find them to kill them. How can I see invisible units to take them out?

Either way I'm not sure how to take out those pesky bastards. I usually play as Sheaim nowadays so I hope that I have some revellers nearby (which can see invisible things). The Malakim lightbringers can see these units too I think.

Hope you figure out a solution to the harsh shadow enslaughts!

Most recon units and hawks are marked as "Can see Hidden" As for protecting from units with the "marksmen" promo (like shadows) put a weaker unit (like a worker) in the same stack.

I think recon units can only see invisible animals. I think hawks can see all invisible units.

Good to hear the AI is able to use shadows effectively again. I assume you are playing SP. Are you?

Yes, I am. It's absolutely infuriating not to have any "detection" units. They're running rampant through my empire slaughtering my workers willy-nilly.

Empyrean UUs can see invisible too, and their priest spell will make the invisible units permanently lose their invisibility. Also useful against HN

Didn't know hawks could see invisible units. Will have to look into this. Now I see why Ecofarm is always asking for an "autocast" on the recon option using hawks
