Ok, I just bought Civs III Vanilla. I go to install it on my computer and the auto run screen came up and had the play option, I try to click on it and nothing happens, except for the the little dot lighting up and pushing. I try to reinstall and goes through a unistallation thing and tells me that it has finished working on it. I try to play and nothing. I go to uninstall and it goes through the process just as fast as it reninstalled. But nothing. I have already gone hunting to track down every thing on my computer that has infogames, Atari, Civ III, Civilization III, everything. Can someone help me please! PS: It works on my friends computer fine. And I know I got the system requirements.

Are you an administrator on the machine? That could be the problem. Also, what OS are you using?

I cant seem to get it out of the add/remove programs list. Its not in any registry, or any files I can find through an hour of looking. It says that the file size is 1.16 mb though. And I click install, it asks me if I want to remove all files. I click yes and it shows up in the registry but nothing else.

That is confusing. What are you calling the registry and where in the registry does it show up at?

It is not clear to me that you installed the game. As I read your opening post, it sounds like you are trying to run the game from the CD, which may or not be possible (I've never tried).

Can you get some screenshots of what you see? That can help a great deal.
