Setting up a network game

I have civ2 multiplayer version. Every time I play civ2 I need the cd in otherwise I cannot play it. The problem is I tried to install it on a network to find that each machine on the network that tried to start up civ2 also was prompted for the cd. Is there any way to get around this? Surely I will not need more than one copy of the cd to play on networks?

You may have to set each PC to read one CD drive temporarily.

The CD is no longer required once the Civ2 is launched (i.e. from Windows till the Civ2 intro sequence). If the PCs are near each other, start them sequentially and use the same CD to launch all the games on all the PCs.
