Setting up Nexus

Looked through forum, couldn't find an answer. When you first install nexus it asks you for an asset path. I put in my path to the civ V assets folder. Now every time I open nexus I get a series of errors saying the path doesn't exist, then the viewer closes unexpectedly, and no files show anywhere in nexus. I have no idea how to fix this. I tried changing the path through nexus settings but... no luck. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?

THANK you. Seems like every step was pulling teeth but I now have access to the files I was looking for. Thanks to the community.
