Settler or Deity

Still Emperor. I can win often, but I'm not feeling I've mastered it. I should learn how to masterplan better and maximize on my cities.

Same here. Been playing Emperor all this year, but took a good five months to learn the ropes.

I've recently tried to move up to Immortal, but it's just really, really hard and limits your playing styles drastically. Also, I think you can lose Immortal even if you play your cards perfectly; just luck of the draw (or lack thereof). Of course I had the exact same perception of Emperor when I first moved up. Still, not sure if Immortal is enough fun for me.

In order to spice up my Emperor games, I am now playing random personalities, aggressive AI and random climate and sea level on shuffle maps - lots more interesting than your standard garden variety games, and quite a bit tougher occasionally. Like to think of this as "Emperor+" and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a challenge.

On the average, I'm playing a lot more on Settler than Deity. Since I'm really a builder, not a warmonger, the Settler level is perfect for trying out new building techniques.

Is this a trick question? :) I play warlord level. However, I always play random games. I don't like picking my "favorite" leader to milk his/her advantages just to work up a level or two. I'm probably batting .750 and have won domination, conquest, space race, and 'time' victories. Still working on my first cultural victory. If I can master the game playing anyone I'll be better off when I finally move up.
