Severe Graphics Glitch

There is a severe, almost game-breaking graphics glitch in my game (view attachment).

It is a giant gray wall that casts a giant shadow over my empire. You are able to see what's behind it (in my case my scout and some Songhai spearmen) if you zoom in enough. The shadow over my empire also seems to go away if you zoom in enough as well.

It seems to originate (the giant gray wall) from a tile of marble.

Is there any way I can fix this?

The problem seems to be gone. Has anybody else experienced this problem though?

Tons of people (just search for gray).
Gray graphics normally appear when the computer is not fast enough with loading/updating the graphics. Turning the graphics settings down could help.
