I didn't really do anything for this test other than open up a save I'd already been working with and click on the spy in Pasagardae.

Surely makes sense. When at war and city threatened, there's probably a check for non-military builds to see how close to finishing they are. If not <= 3t, change to a military build. Infinity >= 3t. Voila.I just ran a funny test with one of my old SGOTM21 test saves.
- AI is 2 turns from finishing The Oracle.
- I bribe them into anarchy. (They are now xx turns away from finishing TO)
- DoW. Threaten city.
- They switch to building something else.
Not sure if that would work in our case. Might need to do some code digging again.

Looked into the code. Yes, the AI will always switch out of building a wonder when they are in anarchy (or rather >3 turns from finishing it) and their city is threatened. Their production queue gets cleared. There is a small chance that they will switch back to building the wonder after their anarchy turn. They are basically running through all the choose production checks again and pick something new to build. While at war, they should be fairly likely to switch to building units.
Can we land with a couple units in Aksum's BFC on DoW+0? Those units would have to survive until the next turn.

I calculate Aksum will be producing 75hpt for units in a GA. That's 1 unit per turn. Plus, he could switch to Nationhood+Slavery and then it's 2 per turn. Aksum could become impossible to capture.
The thing is, where's the third spy to revolt Aksum if we use one to revolt her to HR?

Wait, are we talking about bribing Zara to HR? Okay, I get it. That's completely different. That's not RNG and leaves the spies intact. Cool.
That means we have to do it before DOW (or the same turn as), so that Zara doesn't revolt first, like to Nationhood+Slavery.

Under COnvert to Hinduism, T167, Zara says, "Too few of our people follow that faith..." Does that mean there's no way to bribe her to Hinduism when we revolt back? Because that would be a way to get a second turn of revolt. T170 and T171, before DoW.

That's worth emphasis:
A bribe into HR seems to cost about the same as a switch via espionage with 40% fortification. No need to spend EP and risk a spy on it.
Zara needs to be cautious for the bribe, so we can't switch into Hindu until after it.
I guess that would also mean no bribe to Hinduism no matter what.
We'd lose the 40% EP bonus for our city revolts, if we switch her into Hindu.
We should be able to keep Zara from building Taj, unless she builds it before DoW+0. 1 turn or 2 turns anarchy shouldn't make a difference. Good news is that she can't whip it. Bad news is that she could rush buy it until then.

That was an educational exercise (exploring stopping Taj), but we can't do it. We can't DoW 172 and get a unit to threaten Aksum.
unrelated test: We cannot pillage the fort T171. Even tho it shows AW will complete, we lose the stone before the hammers resolve. So, pillage fort T172. Mine Iron 173. which is what I was planning.

I agree to spend 215 on T172 to get Zara to HR. Not only does it stop a switch to slavery for 5 (or 10?) turns, but it also prevents rush-buying since she's running U.Suff
Bummer.
