Tomorrow Attack !

...and why do you have to leave the most interesting part until tomorrow

turn5
11 tanks built.
IBT Vikings damage 5 cavs and kill 1.
Both Vikings and Japan have large stacks right next to our city/airstrip. I kill them all.
Pisae & Cumae Captured.

Peace with Rome.
Enbassy shows 5 infantry and a rifle in Rome.
ROP with Rome.
I pay Rome Refining for an alliance against Japan.
11 more tanks to Rome.

Peace with Vikings.
Embassy shows 4 pikes in Trontheim.
ROP with Vikings.
15 more cavs to Vikings.

turn6
Capture Nagasaki.
Some more unit transports.

turn7
Rape on Rome.
Generate Leader and capture almost all of Eastern Rome.
Capture Viking Mainland exept 1 that is kept as capital.

For some reason, the mobilisation button is on wartime, but i do no longer get production advantage. Also am i not able to change the button anymore :S

Units are everywhere now, it's rather messy. I already made some micromanagement mistakes, i will proceed later today. Damn mobilisation button...

When you made a peace with Rome mobilization was canceled automatically i think,
However i don't have a slightest idea why the button doesn't work.

Turn8
IBT, A leader spawned in Viking land.
Capture Ravenna

Turn9
Capture Kyoto and Yokohama.
peace with Japan for Sapporo.
ROP for Refining.
Because of needless flip risk, i abandon both japanese cities.

Turn10
Byzantium captured, airstrip made next to it.
Vironconium and Neapolis captured.
We now have all luxuries for ourselves. However, when we get into war with Japan, we disconnect Ivory.

So where we stand now:
I have prepared a rape on japan. Every city on their main continent except Edo possibly Osakacan be taken next turn. The damaged armies are also included in this attack. The game will be over soon. Better to use them now then to delay the ROP rape for healing. I placed the units in stacks on positions where they can attack 2 cities where possible, this way the RNG will have less of an impact.
Start on the bottom and only attack Osaka if you did not need the units between Nagoya and Osaka for Nagoya. I have investigated all cities and these are the units they will have next turn:
Tokyo: 2cI, 2rI
Nara: 2rI
Kagoshima: 2rI, 1vI
Nagoya: 2rI
Osaka: 4vI, 3rI
Edo: 2vI, 2rI, 1 Samurai.
Izumo and Satsuma are not investigated, but they are probably lightly enough defended to be easilly taken by the tanks in between them.
I expect Japan mainland to be taken in (T3) Western Rome probably (T5/T6)
Don't forget to send units to Saporo island imeadiately as you declare on Japan next turn.

We are waiting for both Rome and Scandinavia to talk to us. We want their island cities in peace nagotiations. In order of importance:
-Tromso(vik)
-Hareid(vik)
-Alesund(vik)
-Nicomedia(rom)
-Caesarea(rom)
As i do not expect we will get Caesarea and Hareid, i have started preparations to invade those islands.

In Tacoma, you will find some Helicopters and Bombers. The foot units from Byzantium can be brought to Tacoma by chopper(T1). Then, the choppers waiting in Tacoma can bring them to Caesarea.(T2)
More bombers should be brought there from Nanking. (T1)
Finally(T3) you Caesarea is to be redlined and captured by the footunits.

After transporting the foot units, the Byzantium choppers should rebase to "Chopper base for Hareid" which i built in south england. (T2)
Extra foot units can be brought to england by the many airstrips there present. Bombers is a bit more delicate, if they have to bomb both Caesarea and Hareid, they will need (T4) to rebase and can bomb Hareid on (T5).
Extra foot units probably have to be produced if neither of these cities will be given to us in peace talks and we have to conquer them both. Time enough for that though.
In the worst case, they will not talk to us at all, then, we will have to take all island cities by force. Therefore, i think the bombers should be based in Springfield for the Viking bombardments, they can reach all 3 cities from there.
If the Romans don't talk, you have to make your own invasion plans for Nicomedia, don't forget to start this in advance if needed.

If they do talk, we can do another ROP rape on Rome (eastern). Transporting units is very easy with the railroads and airstrips, within a turn, they can be anywhere on the world. There are plenty workers in Japan to be turned into airstrips as soon as Japan is ours.

I think that is all :)

Ohya, there is no real system in the micromanagement. Just use whatever means needed to crank out tanks in those last turns.

I sold crap for gold, i built workers in ICS land to have a start for shortrushing, i even drafted a few units only to be disbanded and save a turn one a tank production.

We ought to deal with England and China at once, if only to avoid escaped settlers. I see we havd no units in the former English homeland. Surely one cav could be spared to kill the barbs. Barbs also threaten our spice island.

Rome and Vikings may not talk for ages, so we may need to take all the islands the hard way.

The other teams will be left in no doubt about our finish date.

ya, just keep trying to talk with Rome and Vikings, usually its just 5 turns or so. I declared turn7, so that would be about turn 2 for xevious. Of course, just continue the preparations incase it is needed.

The barbs ya was a bit of a mistake of me, they were there a turn ago, but i forgot to deal with them :)

I did not pay much efford to china and england, we have a strip there, the cities are nearby, we can take them any moment we want to. Other islands have priority since they are limiting how fast we can win. Fleeing settlers is a good point though. Luckily, there is plenty of space to settle, so if they have boarded settlers, they won't stay out on the sea.

Gogo Xevious, i can't wait to go read Klarius .... :crazyeye:

Oh well.... so much for me hoping for little :ar15:

Ok... New rule.... Next SGOTM Wacken and Xevious won't be allowed to have fun finishing game even if that means skipping them.

Go Xevious! Go man!!! I can't wait to go read Team Cutlery thread. :D

Only part way through first turn, but here's an update:

Preturn: Take out England's last 2 cities with the 3 cavs. Take one chinese spear. Have to re-mobilize (defeating England counted as peace). Switch all flak to wealth except the two about to finish which switch to tanks and I rush one.

IBT: 3 crusaders and 2 vet inf go to Izumo (EDIT: actually the vet inf went to jungle on the way to Edo, which is great for me). Jap Galleon heads toward Edo. Viking drops longbow next to Copenhagen. Roman ships head toward Caesarea. Rome flips. Since this had US, check for effect on wearriness, make adjustments to cities as needed.

1160AD(1) Take another spear from China, but can't get last. Send a couple cav there to finish them next turn. Rome will talk, but won't give Caesarea. Take Hispalis. Still can't get it, so take Nicomedia, 44g, 15gpt and WM. I absolutely cannot get an ROP with Rome. This will slow things down. On to Vikings, who will also talk, but all I can get is Alesund. Take Karasjok, Reykjavik. Make peace for Alesund and Bodo (still couldn't get Tromso), so we need to take Tromso and Hareid by chopper. Japan is next: rail as much of Japan as I can, and then bring units down from north end of island. Take Nara, lose 1 cav, Tokyo, losing a lot of cav, Kagoshima, lose couple tanks, cav, Nagoya with only the army. A lapse of judgement loses 2 tank attacks (moved tank on rail thinking it was free movement and the speed of key presses caused another tank to move to jungle on third click. :p) Get a leader on defeating Satsuma. Make army, in case I can get another. Get another taking out crusader in Izumo. Can't get it out to make army, so no more leaders this turn. Take Izumo, losing couple tanks, Edo, losing a tank and cav, and get Osaka down to 1 inf(3/5). This is the last city on mainland. Lots of flip risk in Japan, but there are so many troops on Japan island I'm not woried. Just have to get enough troops on other island to take out those 2 cities in 2 turns.

I've got to break for tonight, I still have a lot of troop movement to do to get ready to tackle Rome, and the Viking and Japanese island cities. China should be gone next turn, Japanese in 2, Vikings soon after, and then Rome will be the tough one, unless they allow a ROP next turn.

Whats left:

China: 1 island city
Vikings: 2 island cities
Japan: Osaka and 2 cities on south island
Rome: 1 island city, Rome, and the big north island

BTW, Byzantium is too far from Tacoma to take troops there. Will have to capture Rome and take them from there or move troops to Tacoma through airports.
