Shaka huge army

Playing on Terra map, king level. Near end of game, Shaka has around 550000 soldiers,
double mine, and no gold with -600 gpt, and yet he is still managing to build more units. He DOW me and I quit. How is he managing to do this with this massive deficit?

You can have as much negative gpt as you like. When you hit 0 gold in your treasury that's when things go pear-shaped. The AI always bullies CS which usually keeps it afloat. That said the -600gpt is a display bug.

I sometimes feel like units dont get disbanded with a defecit when you are at war.
