OK - So I will sound very melodramatic, but the truth of the matter is that it has been a very, very frustrating week for me. Two weekends ago, my CD-ROM drive broke. So, I ordered a replacement drive, had it rushed to me by Federal Express, and finally got it about 3 days later...so much for the rush. Anyhow, the new drive doesn't work. I thought I was going to have a s*** fit! I have yet to get a chance to call tech support because they have ridiculous operating hours during which I simply can't make a (personal) phone call long enough to ever get to speak to a human being at the end of the other line. So, I have called our PC support company, only they have failed to show up when they were supposed to. This really stinks! I am about to head into my third weekend without a functioning CD-ROM drive, hence, no chance of playing Civ3...Arrrrggghhh!!! I really, really, really hope that PC guy is going to show up tomorrow - and that he'll fix the problem and get it up and running again! Otherwise I will have a serious problem because what good is my PC w/o a working CD-ROM drive? Not to mention that I have to go on a business trip in one week, where I'll need to use the portable printer which I just got and I can't install the driver w/o my CD-ROM drive...So my boss won't be pleased either. Oh gosh, I feel like the world is against me... Well, of course, I'm exaggerating the gravity of the situation, but I am sure you can all understand how absolutely frustrating it is to not be able to play the game for 2 weeks now. Just thought I'd share my utter frustration with you.
