I've always been a manual user but I often wonder if a switch would be a good thing. Mostly I'm just lazy and like the idea of no hastle electric, but I am also a stooge and don't want to pay for some fancy newfangled meat grinder ;)

Post your opinions on which you prefer and why, preferably pros and cons of each. Women are welcome to, though I can't imagine shaving your legs with an electric.

Electric razors don't really work on me since I don't grow that much hair on my face to begin with. So I shave with the good ol' blades once a week or so and I end up with a face as smooth as a baby's butt!

I like manual myself. I just hate it when I get lazy and my facial hair get's too long for it. I am a little frustrated with the current more blades is better trend. When they get to the mach 5 I'm boycotting shaving alltogether.

Manual. I'm too cheap to get an electric razor. :p

The Fusion already have 5 blades, 6 if you count the "trimmer."

My problem with manual is that I always get lazy and my hair gets too long before I shave, which makes it painful.

I had an electric, it was rubbish.

What worries me is the razor arms race between gillette and wilkinson sword. What are we up to now? Five blades and two moistureising strips? How far are they going to take it - where will this madness end?

Aye, manual for me.

I tried electric for the same reasons (shaving is SUCH a hassle) and was disappointed. Result is not as good, and it still is a hassle.
Lucky for me I only have to shave every other day :woohoo:

With the ridiculous price of blades, getting an electric shaver is actually a smarter move money wise in the long run.

Philishave is easy to use, when I first started shaving I used manual shavers, but I tried a Philishave and they are so nice on the skin.

I'm waiting for the day lightsabres make their way into shaving and I can just pass a flashlight over my face.

Oh, and I use a Sensor Excel. Two blades. Perfect. Even if they try to convert me to three-blade heaven by putting one three-blade in every pack of regular Sensor Excel pack.

Gillette makes their new "Fusion" technology sound more space-age than NASA itself. Seeing their commercials, you really would think you have just seen a NASA safety programme.
