Hello!
I don't know if this has been discussed already, I'll try to be the clearest possible (sorry for my rusty english!)
I'm playing on a Continent map, and going for a naval domination, all my cities are coastal. One of my cities (the 3rd I founded) is on a landlocked sea (about 7-8 tiles of water). It was ok for me when I settled, there was one pearl and two fish in the radius, so I didn't mind the fact that this city couldn't acces to the ocean.
But: I managed to liberate a CS from Augustus with a high-promoted destoyer, and the ship was transfered to this landlocked city! I move stupidly the destroyer, next turn Augustus re-captured the CS, I liberated it back, and the second destroyer follow the first
I solved the "problem" by leaving one the destroyers garrisoned, so the next one is teleported in my capitol city, which has a ocean-acces. But now, I have two useless super-destroyers locked in a tiny sea...
How to prevent this? I appreciate the "change port" button for the Great Admiral (very useful in case of heavy naval warfare) for exemple, they should give the choice to select the city for the vessels that capture cities...
Next time I settle a town on a landlocked sea (or surrounded by this damn ice), I'll build a permanent "cheap" ship to avoid this kind of problem.
