I believe the Forbidden Palace will be complete in Thebes in three turns. I would like the turn chat tonight to stop immediately after it's completion for reassessment, particularly regarding rushing of improvements, and resetting the budget. We should actually have more money coming in after this is completed.

I agree. There's quite a bit that will be completed within the next 3 turns, and we'll have to reassess everything, now that we'll have increased production. Besides, Donsig said he won't be at tonight's turn chat, and that means I'm playing - and I can only stay for a short while anyway.

Suits me just fine, Asphinxia in particular is going to need a careful looking over after the FP is finished... hell, I might actually have to start updating the build queues more than once every couple of weeks!

If so then should we not have more the next day? To balance it out, plus neither will take to long, second a bit but first less so.

Personally I'd rather have a couple of days in which to make any changes to queues etc. RL doesn't always make it possible to do things within 24 hours. Plus there's no real point in moving on that fast if we're taking the break to allow discussion of the changes that are to be made. I'd be in favour of 48 hours minimum before the next turn chat.

I, too, am in favor of 48 hours minimum before the next turn chat. And if the next turn chat is Sunday, I would not be in favor of extending it beyond ten turns. There is no need to "even out" the turns at all. We simply play the reasonable number of turns, max is ten. Sometimes, like tonight, the "reasonable number" is less than ten.

I completely agree.

you could play 1 turn if you like. or even only pre-turn. or no turn at all, or 100 turns. just remember to come back to the forum some time ;-)

Good point, Dis. :goodjob:

Actually, the ten turns I said is, of course, not specified in the rules anywhere. It has merely become a good rule of thumb: more than ten turns starts to get beyond what cabinet members and others can reasonably plan ahead for. At our current stage in the game, too much can happen in a short ten-turn span.

well, it is said there, but nobody cares, as it is a should. and heck, this rule should be really thrown away.

The next turn chat (after the June 5 one) is already scheduled for Sunday, June 9. It will be no more than ten turns played.

I think the normal attendees deserve a short turn chat this time. Kashmir will have its production schedules changed, also (we'll actually have to work!), so I agree. BTW CT, is your computer still doing bizzare things. Did you get more memory?

I will be at the turn chat tonight but won't be able to play. The number of turns playes will be up to the designated player (most likely our VP).

It seems to be just with that one tech (in any game). I know it happened when I was two techs away, and I selected the tech right before it, held shift, and selected the other tech. It takes awhile, but the Science Advisor eventually relents and lets you select it. :)

So yer not having problems with yer browser anymore?

EDIT: Never mind. I think I remember you telling me that you use a different computer for playing.
