While tidying my desktop i accidently deleted my ffh2 shortcut. I cant find the application in my start menu or in my program files in order to use ffh2. There is a shortcut at C:\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Fall from Heaven 2 but it dosn't work. I use Windows Vista, can anyone help. Perhaps the location of the application?

Its probably really simple to fix but im not very knowlegable about anything computer related.

If you still have the latest patch installer handy you can just reinstall it, and a shortcut will be created on your desktop.

If you don't have the installer and don't want to redownload it just for a shortcut (can't blame you if you don't) then you can create one manually.
I don't have Vista, but the process should be similar to this (I have XP):
Spoiler steps to create a FfH2 shortcut :
1) Right-click on an empty area of your desktop.

2) Left-click on "New >" in the context menu that opens, and then left-click on "Shortcut" in the sub-menu.

3) The Create Shortcut wizard asks for the location, type: (replace [PATH] with the path to your Civ IV folder)
Code:
"[PATH]\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" mod=\Fall from Heaven 2
(So in your case you would replace [PATH] with C:\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete)

4) Left-click "Next".

5) Name the shortcut as you like, then left-click "Finish".
You will now have a functional shortcut on your desktop.

If you like you can also set the shortcut to use the FfH2 icon:
Spoiler steps to change the FfH2 shortcut to use the FfH2 shortcut icon :
6) Right-click on the shortcut you created.

7) Left-click on "Properties" in the context menu that opens.

8) The Shortcut Properties window will open, left-click on the "Change Icon" button.

9) The Change Icon window will open; left-click on the "Browse" button.

10) Another Change Icon window will open to allow you to locate an icon file; left-click on the "V" (down arrow) to the right of "Files of Type:" and then left-click on "All Files" from the list of file types.

11) You should already be looking at the "Fall From Heaven 2" folder (your location will be shown at the top of the window, to the right of "Look in:"); if not, you will need to find that location. The exact steps involved will depend on where you are looking and the path to your "Fall From Heaven 2" folder.

12) Left-click on the "icon.bmp" file in the files list.

13) Left-click "Open"; that window will close.

14) Left-click "OK"; that window will close.

15) Left-click "OK"; that window will close and your shortcut will now use the FfH2 icon.
The shortcut created by the installer doesn't use the FfH2 icon, so even someone who already has a functional shortcut can just follow the steps in the second part to change the shortcut icon.

Spoiler suggestion :
By the way, the shortcut in his Fall From Heaven 2 folder doesn't work because it points to:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" mod=\Fall from Heaven 2
Anyone with a different version of Civ IV (such as "Complete" in this case) may find that they have a different path - rendering the shortcut useless. The same is true of anyone who has installed the game in a different location. The mod installer creates a shortcut on the desktop that has the correct path for the specific system in which it is being installed, so having a copy of the shortcut in the mod folder which has a potentially incorrect path seems unnecessarily unhelpful. Perhaps the current non-system-specific shortcut should be removed from the install package and the installer should be changed to create a second copy of the system-specific shortcut in the Fall From Heaven 2 folder. This would ensure that the backup shortcut in the Fall From Heaven 2 folder would be functional for those people who have a non-standard path to their mod folder.

It would also be nice if the shortcuts created by the installer used the FfH2 shortcut icon.
