space . . . madness
i haven't seen a shortcuts thread so if this is a repeat someone please clue me in to the original.
anyway, i "discovered" a shortcut i didn't have in the printouts i made from this site's strategy section. if you hold down the shift button while a unit is moving, it doesn't display the movement animations. just as if you had disabled them in the options! i love doing this because depending on the situation i may or may not want to watch what is going on carefully. for example, i don't really want to watch rome's galley driving around in circles every single turn, but i DO want to watch scandanavia's troop movements very carefully .... and also, I dont want to watch my stack of 20 jungle clearers march one after another when "group move" doesn't work, but I do like to see my pretty horsies gallop.
does anyone else know of any "hidden" shortcuts like this? is there one to bypass the battle animations? finding this has sped up my game play tremendously and has made those huge map, entire-world-at-war games a lot more fun =]
thx in advance and i hope this tip helps somebody
