Shortening Flight Animations?

Is there a way to shorten flight animations? I know I could use the Quick Combat option, but I usually have a hard time figuring out whether and where combat has even occurred while it is enabled.

If there is no easy solution, how do you usually handle the long flight animations?

Can anyone help me with this mod - it does not seem to work.
I have also tried altering the values on the .ini or whatever it was, and still it did not
change anything. I know you have to select and activate the mod when you start a new game, but why does it not work? I have BNW and all other DLC, latest patch and I play on Win7 and Steam.

I would hate it when playing a deity marathon only to discover my game was broken again when the first airplanes came along. I can't stand the original animations taking so long nor can I really stand quick combat.

There should really be an un-modded option.

It should play a 1-2 second animation of what happened (successful bombing run, aircraft interception, AA interception) and display the damage values.

Watching 6 great war bombers ssssllllooowwwwllllyyyy reaching their target, bombing, and returning is like pulling teeth.

The mod works fine for me, but you are not the first person to experience that problem. One recommendation, posted on the Workshop page for that mod, is to download it from CivFanatics. Then move the downloaded file to your computer's folder for civilization 5 mods

Here is the CivFanatics link:

And here is one possible path for the right folder:
c:/user/mydocuments/mygames/sid maier´s civilization 5/mods
