I"m just starting a war with France (pink), I"m Germany (Blue) I just eliminated Russia (yellow arrow) should I move my palace in Berlin (Red arrow) over too the yellow arrow area to make those cities produce? If I do, I loose production in the Berlin area cities and I won't have units to fight the war, or should I wait until the war is over then move it? Or should I leave it where it is and have that side of the continent just have "junk" cities?
If the roads are railroaded in the newly conquered territory then, you should leave it be. But if not, it would be wise to move it there, at one time or another. Because, those cities will never produce, unless you install a detterent to fight corruption in each city.
sabo10: could you post a savegame (as an upload - or simply mail it to me, addy is in sig) and I'll give it a look. It depends a little too much on production capabilities to judge it from the minimap.
If you already have courthouses and police stations in your cities surrounding your current capital, moving your palace won't necessarily reduce those cities to junk. I've done it quite a few times and been pleased with the results.
