Since the debate has been raging on in the initial thread over whether or not players should be able to turn in their end game as a loss due to retirement (especially for those who don't have the time to complete the game in a month), I figured it would be best to put a poll up. Maybe we can convince the powers that be to revise the current GOTM entry system.

1) No, they must win by domination, space race, conquer, or diplomacy.

2) No opinion.

3) Yes, but some people abuse this to inflate their scores. Therefore retirement entries should have some kind of handicap to prevent this.

4) Yes, the Firaxis score may get inflated, but the Jason score is what we now play by - so let their retirement score be reflected as is.

I think retired games (or rather the save of the turn retirement would occur) should count. Let's see if a bunch of "I only retired because my score would be better" games start being submitted. If so, some penalty should apply.
