Good points maybe I was just a bit disappointed that Nimoy wasn't in the game more, although having James Earl Jones would also be a good idea. One thing I really think they should have added was an "In the beginning" style monologue for every era. Sid still did a pretty good job for a game designer.

I cant stand his voice after hearing Nimoy the entire time. I actually cringe when I hear him... I wish they could redo it with Nimoy.

While Sid's voice is fine, I find it too jarring since I'm so used to hearing Spock. I would have preferred they did no voice work for the new technologies.

It's not really fair to judge Sid on the Aesthetics quote. It's a very awkward quote and I doubt many people could recite it aloud and make it sound good.

I have to add to the anti sid crowd. I suppose he does an ok job but so many Americans remind me of Kermit the frog, and he definately does.

No, seriously, though Sid's voice may have been all right if he'd done every quote, I think Nimoy is much better. I even started a project to find good audio clips from his acting career to replace the five techs Sid did.

Okay, you guys are going way too far. Leonard Nimoy is a professional actor and a damn good one. Sid isn't. Moreover they had to go and give him a long winded, disjointed, boring and non-sensical quote for Aesthetics.
He did fine, given the circumstances.
