has there actually been a game with Sid Meier's name on it whichhasn't been exceptionally successful?

While I too have some aggrevation at Civ3 I think it would be considered "exceptionally successful" just going by all the good reviews there are for it.

I am pretty sure that Civ 3 will be about as successful as the others, given some time for refinement (most importantly adding a real scenario editor).

I wouldnt say that Alpha Centuria was that succesful.

In terms of raw sales, Alpha Centauri was not very good.

But it is the best game ever created.

Sim Golf did reasonably well, it wasnt one of my faves but it jsut wasnt my type of game ..
