I have two issues with the UI. First of all it's the infamous lag. Press a button, wait 2 seconds, and watch the unit move on the screen... totally unacceptable.
Two, the 3D user interface is just plain stupid! If I'm zoomed in, I get a nice isometric view of the terrain, but individual tiles are huge and so are my units. This looks nice but it's useless. Everything is too big. As I zoom out the UI insists on tilting the view toward a full 90 degree when totally "zoomed out". This mode is beyond useless, because individual units are no longer recognizable and same goes for ties, improvements etc. Is there a way to have this map zoomed out AND tilted so that I can see my units? Or is this a "feature" of this newfangled 3D stuff that's supposed to make CIV oh so much better?
