If I create a new map in editor, can I then use it to start a new game against the computer?


Also please, if I increase optimal cities per map on all future games how do I change it? I changed it, saved (what I think was only to that map) and started a game, then went into the editor again and it reset it

To play you're custom maps, save them into the Civ3/Scenarios folder and then from the games menu choose Load Scenario and your map will be there.

To make changes to the game stick, you must open civ3mod.bic in the Civ3 folder and save the changes in there. It would be a very good idea to backup this file first, and these changes will not take effect in other scenarios, they must be changed also.
