Single player turn timer

How to I turn off the turn timer in single player? I think I enabled it in Gods and Kings to try it out but now brave new world has come out I can't seem to be able to disable it. HELP!

I had exactly the same problem - I suspect they will restore the option in the UI quite quickly because it really busts games for me as I like to wander off and do other stuff when playing single player.

Anyway to fix:

delete Civ5UserHistoryDatabase.db in (my )Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache

this will get rid of all your settings for the games though, I've tried opening the file and as it's not plain text editing it doesn't see mto be an option.

I opened the file with sqlite browse and changed the value from 1 to 0.

Agreed they really need to re-introduce the UI for it. I was close to deleting and re-downloading the game at one point.
