Slow Techs?

Okay, in one of the maps I'm playing (Babylonians, Huge, Pangaea, Temperate, Whatever it is between Arid and Wet) I only have Bronze Working, Masonry, Pottery, Wheel, Warrior Code, Ceremonial Burial, Mysticism, Polythiesm, and I'm almost done with Monarchy.

I had Bronze Working and Ceremonial Burial from the start, meaning I've only researched 6 techs by 0 A.D..

I don't think this is right... I have 13 cities, and my tech rate has been 70-90 the whole time. I have also been focusing mycities on certain prodsuct: i.e., Worker Factories and Bowmen Factories

If anyone could tell me why research is so slow, I would be very grateful.

Can you post a save? Have you traded with other civs? What level is this? BTW, your tech track is almost the same as the AI's. Go for things like Writing, Currency, since the AI doesn't research those first, and you can trade for techs.

You certainly want to try to meet more civs, as that really helps your trading. The value of each tech is based on how many civs you have contact with that knows each tech.

Do you have a settler factory, as that is the most important factory. In general 13 cities is not that many for 0AD, although not terribly bad.

As Chieftess already said try researching the level 2/3 techs first as they are worth more in trades.

What % level are you researching science?

Yeah, I have 2 S-Factories, I'm using OCP, Right now I think 70% Tech rate.
