Small map

I've had trouble running map sizes any smaller than huge. anybody wanna help?

What do you mean by "had trouble?" You'll have to be clear about your problems if you want help.

I would load the game, the terrain generated never includes any water.

If you're playing on Very Low, some of the mapsets include things like the Highlands or Great Plains map styles from Civ4 vanilla which have very little water.

I'm playing on very high and medium earth likeness. If there is no water, that makes a lot of UHVs unachievable because there is no "New World". right?

Right. UHVs are turned off in Very Low.

My guess is that you may have an installation issue. Have you tried deleting RAND and reinstalling it?
