Hi,

I know Smart Weapons allows Stealth Aircraft and F-15 to perform Precision Strike... But the thing is, I can't do this!!!

Do I need something else to perform these strikes?? What am I doing wrong?

Actually, I can perform precision strikes on my own cities! But not on enemy cities... :crazyeye:

nice work you wicked ruler

you can show the enemies that you mean business by attacking yourself with eery thing youve got. they'll be so scared, or confused  that they'll make paece with you.

I guess it will be useful, if you would be able to direct those: say, select from a list, what to hit. As it works now, you can never say, will it hit harbor, marketplace, or SAM battery.

I would personaly also prefer them to hit units precisely, not buildings.

I can't get percision strikes to work on PWT 1.14. It didn't work in the first Civ III until after a few patches and it quit working again with 1.14.

They work for me in 1.14 in SP (I just tried one to see) using both the button and the hotkey. Jocko, do you have Smart Weapons (not just Stealth)?

Naturally if no buildings, will revert from smart bombing to dumb bombing, i.e., hit people.

Now what is smart about destroying culture?

Where is super smart, killing troops or troops and citizens only but leaving that harbor, etc
alone?

I'm with you, planetfall. The whole point of smart weapons is to minimize collateral damage, not maximize it. My ideal would be a list of targets to choose from, including any stationed units (go after the damaged elite tanks), populace, and infrastructure. There would be a baseline success/failure rate as normal, and also a small chance of hitting an unintended target. To me, that seems more realistic and fun.

DISCLAIMER: I have never even reached smart weapons, so I'm purely speaking theoretically here.

I agree. Smart Weapons should allow you to pick your targets (I'd even take a lesser chance of hitting).
