Smith's Trading Co in GOTM 31?

Hey there,

I'm playing GOTM 31, and I've built several more than 5 banks, but I'm not offered the chance to build Smith's Trading Company (you know, the small wonder that pays you interest on your treasury?).

I do notice the option to build stock exchanges in cities with banks...the Civilopedia says they do the same thing as banks.

Has Smith's Trading Co. been removed for some reason?

Is there a place I could find all this stuff out (I didn't see it listed among the game mods on the GOTM 31 page)

Thanks much,
DogmaDog

As far as I am aware the wonder hasn't been altered, you still need economics to build Adam Smith's.

This might not be my place to say but you should probably have posted this in the spoiler thread 2. (or PM'd ainwood)

Good luck with the rest of your game! :)

Hello, Dogma :)

I think you are referring to Wall Street -the small wonder, as opposed to the Adam Smith Great Wonder.

The prerequisite to build it (for GOTM purposes) has been changed in Civ3 1.29f from 5 Banks to 5 Stock Exchanges, as far as I remember, for consistency with the PtW versions.

P.S. I am not sure the question is really a spoiler... still, I believe that it is easier to ask this kind of questions either directly or within 'dedicated' threads. No big deal, anyway.

@Dogma: Karasu is right - and I'd like to add that Stock Exchanges become available with Corporation, and a city must have a bank to build a Stock Exchange.

Ahhh!

You're correct, I was thinking of Wall Street...and the 5 stock exchanges requirement does make sense. Thanks for your help, everyone.
