Mongolia had a scout fortified on my hill for about 8 turns, being bombarded down to 2 HP then healing back up. Then, I move a settler 4 tiles away and beyond 2 hills from the scout, and the scout zooms 4 tiles along the road to take my settler.

Same maphack seems to occur where I am defending the capital I took from them. The instant I move 3 of my units out of the city radius, Mongolia tries to attack with all their warriors.

I'm guessing this is a feature to make them not so dumb in combat. It's really annoying having to reload back 3 turns because it uses the maphack to take my settler. Not to mention I had to go back to main menu and through the mod menu twice, and load twice, since the first auto was the turn my settler was taken. Games shouldn't be this tedious :(

I *believe* he gave units an extra 1 or 2 sight range because it drastically improved the AI ability. It's certainly not a mapwide visibility though. In general I always escort all settlers that don't have a clear line of site to the destination.

Yeah, escorting not really relevant here... I had just been moving my settler from my capital to my 2nd city, so it was all "safe zones" except there was a suicidal scout with super binoculars.
