So why was CFC down (on and off) the last 3 days?

This was the longest/worst down time i've experienced...

I've been wondering the same thing, yet were all still in the dark. It only happens during the late afternoon/early prime time hours EDT. It's, to be honest, getting very annoying.

I don't think this was the usual downage we get.. this has lasted a lot longer, and over consecutive days

According to our host, it was due to DOS from MSN search bots.

EDIT: Should be ok now. We have rebooted the servers and banned the MSN bots.

Can't they do something to block or prevent the DoS (Or would it be DDoS?) attacks?

My site once went down repeatedly because of annoying searchbots. So I feel the pain.

Yeah, every night at midnight PST, it goes down for about 2+ hours. Is that normal?

Normally the site goes down at around 3:00 am EDT Tuesday and Thursday (or was it Friday) mornings for backups. Normally it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete it's cycle. IMO, Two hours is just abnormally too long.

I couldn't get on yesterday at all. Haven't noticed any problems today. Yet.
