Some Help Needed

Thanks, now everything makes sense. I feel stupid for not comprehending that term myself.

Cram as many towns as you can onto fresh water sources, to get as much benefit from your AGR trait as possible.

What is that agricultural trait benefit exactly?

It is usually considered the strongest trait in the game. Every city tile gives you 3 food instead of 2, except in despotism where only city tiles on fresh water give 3 instead of 2. But in despotism, food surplus is always hard to come by, so the more of it you can get the better.
Other AGR bonuses:
- Deserts look the same as plains if irrigated, making them one 'point' more powerful (you'll be able to do that northern island after Electricty, for what it's worth).
- Aqueducts are half price, which is very handy.

If I was feeling ruthless, at the start of this game I probably would have figured out the absolute maximum number of towns I could have fitted on fresh water and settled all those spots. And then crammed as many towns as possible on the coast, to help research my way off the rock as soon as possible. It probably would be at least twice as many towns as you have there now. Of course, that would make it feel very cramped at this late stage of the game, but then the idea is to have won before reaching this point anyway.
