Hi guys! And many thanks to everyone involved in this wonderful Modmod(?mod), expecially to gentleman extraordinaire Valk!
I recently had some spare time and decided to come back for a little more of Rife, but I'm baffled by some of the recent changes, I would like to know some things before putting more time in the trial-and-error technique...
First of All, how do you use Salt??!? I tried connecting it via road, building quarries, heck even tried to found a city on top of it, but It simply won't show up as a resource in city screen, nor does it allow the Salthouse building...
Second, I love the recent changes to animals and how they get stronger with time, I expecially love the spiders (I was one of the first to propose a unit "wane" ability ofr Archosians Spiders, so I'm expecially fond of them
) Problem is, once a G.Spider upgrades to Swarm or Army, he's no longer able to use the "Consume Mate" ability, nor is he able to learn textus, rhagodessa or the other promos... Is this intended? If so I'll stop complaining immediately...
Third and final, When I started a new game (Malakim) the other day, I noticed a strange effect. all my units were getting about 0.5 xp each round, from the beginning (1st turn)! I tought it could be an incompatibility issue between Rife and FlatXp, so I deactivated the module and started a new game (always Malakim). Everything went smooth... I played a 280 turns quick game, had to WB away from my game the Jotnars, who where causing costant CTDs, won an altar victory. Today I start a new game (Malakim! ...yeah I'm trying to get the hang on them), notice that I've never enabled FlatXP again and, surprise! My Xp bonus bug was there! By turn 3 I had a level 2 warrior! Has someone experienced something like this? Because I remember messing with some file last time I installed Rife, probaly I should simply remove it and install it again from scratch, instead of usin the 1.2 patch over my (slightly) modified Rife...
