In the menu there is a "play music" item. But I can't find those anywhere on the CD or the HD. Is there any way of getting the 'mid' or whatever files so I can listen to them without nedding civ2, as I use civ3, installed? Yes I know I can download them, most of them at least, but this seems easier.

On the mac version atleast the music is there in form of cd tracks (try putting the cd in a cd player and that's what you'll get).

The first track contains all the data, so the the music starts at track 2, in case you wonder why the first track sounds strange...
