Sorry but I absolutely HATE Civ 4 !

I havent looked yet. I think hitting [ctrl]+ [->] x 8 should take it to a 360. IMO I havent hunted down the ini yet. I will post it when I find it. And I will..... find it!:rockon:

I haven't seen everything yet, because I bought the game yesterday. I have some criticism against the manual (this might only be true for users that bought the game in a non-English speaking country): The game is in English, but the manual is completely in Dutch. Also the game concepts are in Dutch, although in the game itself it is English. I would see one of the suggestions applied:
- The game and the manual is in Dutch;
- The game and the manual is in English;
(so the same language for the game)
- The game is in English, the manual is in Dutch, but the game concepts are in English. For example: "Je kunt een Bomber bouwen" (you can build a Bomber; "Bomber" is not translated) instead of "Je kunt een Bommenwerper bouwen" (you can build a Bomber, "Bomber" is also translated into Dutch).

I used to love c4 until over $200 usd ago. Even with a new Everything Nothing is working Correct. Maybe they could translate an opening statement to say, "This Game is a gift." Gift in German means poison!!

Well, you can change the language of the game in the options menu. Oh wait, I think Dutch is not in. Anyway, it is very common in Non-English speaking countries to adopt some words in English, like "hardware", or "software", or "router". Have you watched German TV? lots of words they use are English.

- From what little I have gleaned Civ4 pushes you to fewer cities, a smaller civilization, but I thought it was building an empire?

Well this specific point isn't really correct. What Civ4 does is make expansion more challenging. In previous civs, once you took over your first AI civ, you had a huge advantage as far as production, research, and income went. Once you got your second conquered, you were pretty much guarenteed a win. No one could keep up with you as far as techs or production went. In Civ4, expansion and empire-building still make you very powerful, but they must be done intelligently. You can only afford expansion when the cities you already own are productive and have a solid infrastructure in place. Civ4 just makes building an empire more challenging (and realistic), it doesn't want you to have a smaller civ.

Civ4 hates you too

:p

I can definately believe that! If it did not, it would not treat me the way it does.

BTY, there are some things that I also hate about the game too.

I am quite lucky insomuch as i have 10 days to return my civ4 and get my money back, it is day 9 and i am sorry to say it is going back. it just doesnt feel as epic as civ3, the graphics are great (fab close up fighting) and the reliegion is a good feature, but for me it is not a game i feel in control of, it just plods along even if you get quite agressive with the ai. plus after a while on the large world map it get slow, the units become sluggish. i am not putting the game down and will look at buying again when the expansion pack is out
