Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question. I'm new here.
I don't have any of the expansion packs for Civ IV (much as I'd like to get them, I really need to watch my expenses right now), but I'd like to find some scenarios, and maybe other mods. Is there any way to search or sort the downloads here for mods which will work without either expansion pack? I was hoping to avoid the hit or miss method.
Or I'd welcome suggestions, too, of course. I'm mostly interested in later time periods - industrial, modern, future - but I'd be willing to give any a try.
FYI, I've had the game awhile, but haven't played it TOO much. Frankly, I've still got Civ II on my computer, and I've played that so many times over the years (I didn't like Civ III), that Civ IV never seemed all that new, I guess. Oh, it's a great game, but I still think that Civ II is the best computer game of all time.
But I can't play the same game ALL the time. In fact, I only go back to Civ II occasionally now. And even with Civ IV, I'd like to freshen it up a bit with some scenarios and/or other mods. As I say, I'd like to get the two expansion packs, but this is a bad time for me to be spending any unnecessary money.
