so with four civs bordering you, on all sides, is there any way to avoid getting flanked?
I had literally all four civs neighboring me declare at some point in the game without provocation, usually two at at time (as though they are aware I can't fight on two fronts. SO clever. -_-) One was even a friend who betrayed me for no apparent reason.
I did take some cities from the first 2 civs that declared on me, so that might have provoked a warmongering penalty or whatnot.
I mean, is there some way to avoid being taken advantage of in this situation? Even if you go tall, they seem to immediately decided that "the lands you have taken are rightfully ours."
Is spawning in the middle the ultimate disadvantage, or am I missing something? Seems like an inherent imbalance in Pangaea maps. It all seems so fair when you're not the one in the middle.
