Specialist / Nationalism bug?

Earth. Unfortunately.
I've come across an odd little thing that did not occur *before* I discovered Nationalism in this particular game: clicking on a specialist causes the game to crash.

To reproduce, open the game save up and click on any large city, looking for those with specialists, like Kyoto (in the upper right of my empire). Then try to change the specialist. I was attempting to see what effect a police specialist would have (since I've only gotten back into this game after a long period of absence, and forgotten most of what I knew before).

I don't ever remember experiencing this sort of bug before. Has anyone else?

Edit/update: I went back to an autosave of 550AD, the turn before I discovered Nationalism. I could change the specialists just fine without any crashes. It only occurred *after* discovering Nationalism.

Are you using a pop head mod? I had this crash when C3C first came out because I didn't get the pop head mod for Conquests.

That makes sense. I'd forgotten that the policeman is a C3C feature, IIRC. I'll have to see if I can find a C3C compat-pophead.

Thanks for the "heads-up"!

I was using EvanCiv's 15x15 version, and after some checking... that was the problem.

Did some looking around and found Tae Shala's version at:

Works perfectly. Thanks for solving the problem, Turner. :) Appreciate it dude. Have a beer on me. I really didn't want to dump that game, I was using it to test some new strats out and improve my gameplay.

(Sorry about the double post - was going to delete this and modify the post above, but couldn't find a delete feature, heh.)

There is no delete feature. (Or, more accurately, admin has disabled the VBulletin delete function on this site. ;))

You just edit the post to keep, then edit the "to be deleted" post to indicate it should be deleted (something like "Delete me!"), and then either PM a moderator about it, or just report the post yourself. We'll clean it up for you. :)
