Hi,

So I am in a two human player game of Civ3, 2 Main Continents and six additional Comp Players. It is around 500 AD. I have 3 AIs on my continent and my opponent has 3 on his. Scientifically we are about even, but score wise he is way out ahead. I have a score of around 300 to his 600  (This being due I am quite certain to him having many more cities than I) I have a little jump on him as I am 5-10 rounds away from finishing off an AI and he has yet to wage war. But he is about to and my fear is, after all this effort, is he just destined to win the game?

Advice? What is the best way to come from behind in this point of the game? Our cultures have yet to meet but the will soon. Science? Warfare? What?

My guess would be he has more population than you. If you are on an island with the AI almost dead then finish off the AI and build cities like mad. Don't forget to have plenty of workers/slaves as well.

You are prolly on bad land compared to him. Either he has lots of luxury or double population. The score is almost based on the number of citizens.

It will surely slow you down to wage war so early in the game. This has to pay off with something. Either getting tech or land or resources or it was not profitable.

If you can expand fast, you can make up for the score, but in the end you want to take him out.

Have you met the 3 civs on his continent? If so, declare war on him and get them all to fight him now. I don't know what level you're playing, but that will slow him down no matter what.
Meanwhile, destroy the AIs on your continent. I'd suggest a military alliance against one to have the AIs do your work for you. Although if you're on a higher level it might be more profitable to have the AIs research for you, if war is not viable or immediately profitable.

Post a screenshot.

well, you aren't even 1/2 way through the game yet!!

Specific advice: build up your military. Attack him. Take cities. Conquer him.

if the AI doesn't exist, it can't outscore you :)

Specifically - build a an army of fast attackers (horse/knights/cavalry/tanks) and a few defenders (3 or 4) to cover the attackers from counterattack.
