Hi,

Quick question, how can I regain it, once spent? Don't tell me I can't :D

Are you playing the Amurites? Their wizards start off with the Spellstaff promotion, but do not regain it unless they promote to Enchantment 3 to cast it.

So you need either archmages or lichs to get it back (and one dimensional mana)

Enchantment mana, actually.

Uupps.
You are right.
That happens if you write things when you should be sleeping.

I've never been clear on that... what does a spellstaff do?

If a mage breaks his spellstaff he regains the ability to cast spells that turn. A terrifing thought when you consider an archmage than can toss out 6 meteors, 2 maelstroms, etc.

Yes Amurites... ouch, I have been to liberal then!

Kael, I don't understand, how you would cast more than 2 spells a turn in this case?

Kael doesn't mean you can cast more than two, just that you could have a total of 6 meteors, for example.

It's particularly nasty with Grigori archmages, who have Twincast generally.

Twincast + Spell staff = 12 meteors PER MAGE, great for opening rounds of a war.

Actually, you need to create spellstaff before you really attack. Then next turn, or on whatever turn you decide to your attack, you cast, break spellstaff and cast again.
