I played a game where I stacked these.
25% from order
33% from tradition
25% from Himeji castle

And I played as china..
45% from GG.

so +128% with GG (+108% with a non chinese general)
+83% without GG. And this isn't counting promotions.
I started producing GDRs and they had 400+ combat strength with a couple of promotions.

Also, you can put units on flatland terrain and they don't die instantly with these bonuses stacked!

It's cool to see how high you can get it, but strategy wise, it's kind of overkill, isn't it? Do you really need that many bonuses when you could easily win battles with much smaller of a bonus? To get both Order and Tradition, you have to pass up a lot of other useful social policies that would probably help your Civ more than an even larger combat bonus. Same with Himeji Castle, I think you'd be better off building something else instead.

Yes I needed the bonuses. I didn't have enough GDRs yet and Alexander had almost every hex that I could see covered with paratroops, mechanized infantry, and modern armor. All with 2 promotions.
This was end game. Early game I beelined into rifles then stayed at 2 cities until communism then started spamming cities. I had a bunch of cultural allies and my puppets starting getting decent culture.
