Stacking medics?

Is there a cap to the amount of healing you can stack with the medic promotion? Right now I'm stacking 2 of them, could you theoretically get a max of +7 healing per turn?

If you can, combined with March that's a pretty funny combat blob.

Must be +7 I think. After all, you get +1 basic healing, +1 from the unit's medic promotion and +5 from all bordering units with medic promotion.

Doesn't seem like a great strategy since only the centre unit will get +7, the rest will get + 5. Still pretty powerfull but if your opponent is smart enough to take your units out one by one you might be better off taking other promotions.

Would be nice if we could specialise units to be Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, with almost no defense, but grants a +2 healing/turn to nearby units.

I think it was a wise choice not to have dedicated non-combat medic units as its very hard to train the AI to use them well.

No, you can not stack them, you get +1hp from being a medic and +1(capped) from having another medic in an adjacent tile .

You can stack as many as you want, but the medic nearby +1 bonus does not stack .

In my last game they where def stacking. 3 horseman with medic promotion +4 per turn when healing. Could that be attributing to anything other than stacking?

Fortify +1, medic +1, nearby medic(s) +1, friendly territory +1, inside city +1 . So max you can get is +5 .

I could be wrong, but I think that Medic might not even stack with friendly territory. I remember one of my superunits (Medic/March then Blitz) getting 2hp/turn inside my borders. Anyone confirm/deny this?

You're right. The bonus is only outside of friendly territory. The adjacent unit healing bonus does work in friendly territory, though.
Oh, and I know no one brought it up, but while we're on the subject of healing, Persia's UU doesn't double healing like its description says. It only adds +1 healing outside of friendly territory, and +2 healing inside friendly territory.
