i cant stand Queen... and stairways' annoying. There was a Deep purple song in the Lars von Trier movie, Breaking the waves. Don't remember the name, it hink i would vote for that one.

By all that's holy, both!

Bohemian Rhapsody with alcohol, and Stairway to Heaven with weed. :D

Its hard to decide, but Im leaning more towards Bohemian Rhapsody because I cant stand to hear anymore Robert Plant yelping and howling like a dog that had its tail stepped on.

Western Rock fans always have a tendency to leave out East Asian Rock bands...

I go for "Silent Jealousy" by "X".

Stairway to Heaven, but I really like Bohemian Rhapsody too.

Queen's epic rules every time :)

I remember first listening to it when I was in secondary school, soon after Mercury died and it was re-released here. The whole music class of 30 kids were singing this song whilst the teacher was out that had been at number one for months and had come on the radio. Great times, great song :)

Stairway is probably the more groundbreaking and epic of the 2, but I just prefer to listen to BR. Therefore, undecided.

Yeah I know I was thinking that, its not hard rock. But I think if I had to choose between the three, Id rather listen to American Pie. Also, it wasnt performed by a British band...Oh well.

edit: now that I think of it, can Stairway or Rhapsody really be considered hard rock anymore? I think when a song has muzak versions you can hear in an elevator, its over.

:D :rotfl:  . Or vise versa ;) . :smoke:

Stairway to Heaven--it is only one of, if not the, best songs of all time!

Bohemian Rhapsody is quite good as well--just not at the top.

I voted for Stairway to Heaven. I like the mystical influence that plays within the song. To be honest I think Remasters is one of the best albums ever, certainly up there with Division Bells and Dark Side of the Moon.

I choose Stiarway to Heaven, just becuase even though it starts kinda mellow and gets faster and louder at then end, I'm still singing along with it in a mellow tune. (Even without weed :) ) It does something thatjust relaxes me, much more so than Bohemian Rhapsody. Even though it is a great song.

Well, apparently I've come up with a good question. The poll is nearly dead even.

Really now:D? I've never tried listening to either song stoned but now...

Bohemian Rhapsody by a mile. It doesn't take itself seriously. It's just a great song that doesn't mean anything.

Stairway doesn't mean anything either, but they want you to think it does.

You should have tossed "Sympathy for the Devil" into the mix. :p

;) :D . Or "Jumpin Jack Flash" or "Can't Ya Hear Me Knockin" :king:

I was wondering how long it would take for you to bring up the boys :) .

I'm a big fan of the stones but I can't think of a song of theirs that would fit in the same category as these two.

But what about a new thread...

"Hey Jude" vs. "You Can't Always Get What You Want" :hmm: :mischief:
